STUDENT SERVICES

The overeaching goal of our Student Specialist is to help students succeed academically and personally.  The role of the Student Specialist at HOC is to provide:

Academic Support: Help students with academic challenges by scheduling tutoring, organizing study groups, or offering strategies to improve their learning and organizational skills.

Intervention: Identifying students who need additional support and developing plans to address their specific needs.

Claw

Attendance Behavioral Support: Assisting with behavior management and implement strategies to improve student attenance and engagement.

Claw

Collaboration: Working with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive network around each student to ensure their needs are met.

Data Analysis: Tracking and analyzing student performance and progress to identify trends and areas where additional support might be needed.

Enhance Engagement: Organizing student activities, workshops, guest speakers, and field trips.

My name is Jacine and I am the Student Specialist.  This will be my 4th year with Hanford Online Charter.  I have been in education for over 10 years. I started as a Lead Advisor for various high schools throughout Merced County assisting students and families with financial aid and exploring the multitude of options for college, technical and vocational education.  I have my AA in Child Development and my BA in Liberal Studies.  Prior to joining HJUHSD I was a preschool teacher for 8 years then became Site Supervisor for my agency.
